WHEN WILL I BE READY?
Take a look into your freezer and forecast when you're going to have the space to store your meat. Some customers buy a freezer specifically for their meat storage, you need to decide what will work for you! Also in terms of planning, we process steers year round but more heavily in the Fall which makes availability most flexible in the Fall.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
Ideally you want to buy enough to last you a year, so that your reservation date can be a recurring annual thing. A family of 2 typically will last nearly a year on a quarter, a family of 4 would need a half. Remember everyone consumes beef at different rates so what works for one does not work for all.
WHAT AM I GETTING?
In terms of beef, you're getting premium quality Black Angus beef. In terms of cut, you're getting whatever you want! Part of this process requires you to call the butcher and tell them how you would like your quarter to be cut. They can absolutely help you decide and we can answer your questions as well. You will dictate how much of specific cuts you want, what size you want them to be and how they're packaged!
