How do I order?
Ordering looks like this: You reach out, request a reservation. We work together to select a date. You send your deposit. We notify you when it's time to order your cuts. Butcher calls you when it's ready. We send you your bill. You pay the butcher, & leave our payment with them. Then you're heading home with fantastic local beef!
Is it grass-fed beef?
It is not EXCLUSIVELY grass-fed beef. We feed our cattle based on a food pyramid, meaning they get a balanced diet of a variety of products. So yes, they eat grass. But they also get many other feed stuffs to meet their nutritional needs.
How much does it cost?
There are 2 costs: the meat & the processing. Processing is paid directly to the butcher and averages around $160/quarter.
The meat is purchased by the pound, based on the hanging weight. A quarter averages 200 lbs. hanging - so at an average price of $3.90/lb the meat will cost you much less than what you'd pay at the grocery store.
When do I pick it up?
Typically within 12 days of your reservation date, you will get a phone call letting you know that your product is ready to be picked up!
How can I pay?
We prefer you leave cash or check payment at the butcher upon meat pickup. Prior arrangements can be made to mail a check or drop off cash. Reservation deposits can be paid as cash or check.
Is there any discounts?
We offer a discount on larger quantities - meaning if you get a quarter you will pay more per pound, than if you, your brother and your 2 co-workers all group together and get a whole! It's not a record breaking discount but it definitely helps.
